As you learn these forms and concepts, you will practice using them in the Exercitationes and reading the Fabula Aeliae and the Litterae.  The Fabula Aeliae centers around the topic of gender roles as Aelia grapples with the conflicts between her emotions and the expectations placed on her as a daughter and a betrothed maiden. The Fabula also depicts the predominately masculine world of the Roman military.  The Litterae are excerpts from various Latin authors that portray gender and sexuality from various points of view.
